 Google has been enriched Google Maps with  Earth View features. With these features, the images in Google Maps will be seen in 3D format. Earth View offers a true 3D perspective, which lets you view images in detail the mountains or the first person to dive in the depths of the sea in the perspective of the 3D buildings.

With the Earth View, Google will build an immersive 3D reproduction of the entire world that can be explored. Google does not mention how complete and update this virtual world. But as an illustration, with Earth View Google can photograph the interior of a shopping center. Earth View currently lacks such interactions presented by the traditional Google Maps service, including not displaying a street name and direction of travel.

Google is one of the makers web browser that supports 3D technology, called WebGL, which can bring 3D into your computer. Google is also currently building a 3D web technology, which again is higher, ie O3D, at the foundation WebGL.

Meanwhile, its competitors, Microsoft is also reportedly building a 3D technology to map the world in the Bing Maps. Microsoft technology that requires a plug-in Silverlight, claimed to be different.

However, with 3D glasses, Google wants to bring a deeper 3D technology. Google has been collecting data for 3D Street View since 2008. On 1st April, Google has been displaying 3D Street View images, which can be viewed with special 3D glasses.
