Google is currently researching a new version of the image search, Visual Rank. Two scientist from this search engine introduced a new technique in the conference arena World-Wide-Web that took place in Beijing. This technique combines the detection and rating system of the Google Page rank.
This rating process allows Google to keep displays relevant search results. With the combination of these two elements, the researchers hope to gain a better image search. For this project, scientists used more than 2000 are the most popular Google queries and linking this information with image search. So, discovery of irrelevant images can be minimized to 83% with this technique.
