Police arrest lush Through Twitter

Victoria - The police personnel of Victoria, Australia appears to be increasingly infatuated using Twitter. They now use the micro blogging site to catch  the drunkard and the car driver reckless.

Deputy Chief Commissioner Victoria Police,Ken Lay explains , Victoria Police will be very helpful by the people who tweet or sending Twitter message,  detail of the drunk driver who endanger traffic safety. Lay would later follow up reports with the community to exert all the prosecution of personnel.

"Now there are young people who access the Twitter via their mobile phone, even when they are drunk and drive a car," said Lay, as quoted from The Age, Thursday (23/7/2009).

"Twitter is very helpful in spreading characteristics and details of vehicles being drunk. Because the information is delivered quickly circulating through Twitter, the police personnel who are on the nearest distance to the perpetrator and then they can act immediately," he added.

Efforts to crawl through Twitter this coincides with the launch of Operation Ardent, the new operation is as Victoria police traffic campaign efforts.
